CAVALERA CONSPIRACY

CAVALERA CONSPIRACY
Cavalera Conspiracy was initially conceived on August 17th, 2006, when brothers Max and Igor Cavalera reunited for the first time in 10 years at the D-Low Memorial in Tempe, U.S.A.; Igor joined Soulfly on drums for renditions of the Sepultura classics "Attitude" and "Roots Bloody Roots". After this show they decided to form a new band. Cavalera Conspiracy marks the reunion of the Cavalera brothers after 12 years and it's the first time they have made music together since the infamous Sepultura break-up on December 16th, 1996 in London.

Originally Max wanted to call the project Inflikted, but as the name has been used before it was changed to The Cavalera Conspiracy and then shortened to Cavalera Conspiracy in order to avoid potential legal conflicts which would hold up the album release. The name "Inflikted" was instead used for the band's debut album. The Cavaleras initially asked Jean-Michel Labadie of Gojira to be the bass player of their band, but he was busy with other commitments and Joe Duplantier ended up being the band's bassist until 2010.
